Blackline Fang Blenny - Aquacultured $19.95$9.98
Qty Available: 1

Latin Name: Meiacanthus nigrolineatus
Current Size: 2.0 inches
Maximum Size: 3.7 inches
Recommended Tank Size: At least 20 gallons
General Diet: Enjoys a herbiverous diet consisting of spirulina and flakes and pellets containing marine algaes.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 82° F).
Reef Compatible: Yes
Species Behavior: The Blackline Fang Blenny is a peaceful individual who seldom attacks other fishes and is seldom attacked by other fishes. Partially due to the fact that it can inflict a venomous bite with it's fangs in defense. With age, the blues and yellows will become more pronounced in the anterior and posterior portion of the body. It makes an excellent addition to a reef tank and since it is aquacultured, it is much easier to successfully keep over Wild Caught specimens.
Care Level: 3
Origin: Aquacultured - Venomous
